Control Panel/MCC Manufacture
Newfield Automation Ltd has a proven track record in migrating obsolete PLL and SCADA systems and have developed various migration strategies which allows the customer to take advantage of the latest products available. These strategies have been developed to minimise the amount of downtime and disruption during the migration process thereby reducing the costs in loss of production.
Our migration skills not only lie with PLC’s but also include the upgrade / migration of HMI's and SCADA systems. We also utilise the best products available for the application(s) required with the customer’s budget in mind. The migration can also be split into phases or systems to help with both capital expenditure and plant access limitations.
- Your system is currently in use
- You are aware that spares are becoming difficult and expensive to obtain.
- Support can become costly if you have to call an engineer out to site.
- Risk of your system failing and the impact in lost production.
- Replace obsolete PLC and/or SCADA hardware
- Improve system reliability
- Improve system performance
- Replace the existing obsolete hardware with the latest hardware
- Convert the existing PLC software
- Use a pre-planned migration plan to implement the new hardware with minimum downtime
- Improved system diagnostics
- Less downtime due to more reliable hardware
- Spares readily available
- Future expansion and modifications made easy
- Easily integrated into the latest manufacturer's products
As part of turnkey projects, Newfield Automation have the capabilities and experience to carry out the full electrical installation element of the works including:
- Site establishments and welfare facilities
- Carrying out Principle Contractor Duties
- Generation and control of Method Statements & Risk Assessments
- Working with CDM Co-Ordinators and Planning Supervisors
- Delivery, offloading and installation of control panels, enclosures etc.
- The supply and installation of all cable carrying systems, Traywork, Basket work, ladder racking, Trunking, Conduit etc'
- The Supply and installation of all plant cabling from Mains distribution though to Field electrical and control (I/O) cables.
- The Supply and Installation of network cabling, (Ethernet, Profibus, ASi etc.) in both copper and fibre construction.
All installations are checked and tested prior to the commencement of commissioning works.
The projects undertaken by Newfield Automation cover a wide scope of supply from purely supplying design elements (hardware or software) to the complete turnkey solutions. Where turnkey projects are undertaken the commissioning element forms a vital part of the project to ensure that the system fully functions as desgined.
Newfield Automation's Engineers will carry out full system commissioning works and customer trails to agreed Commissioning procedures and tests which will have been produced and agreed with the client as part of the upfront design works.
Rather than having dedicated Commissioning engineers coming in cold to a project, the Newfield Automation's Engineers carrying out the commissioning activities will be those which have been involved in the design and development of the project to provide continuity to the client. Where required and specified, remote dial in assistance via modem or web enabled links from our main office can be provided to support the commissioning activities.
Mechanical Handling Systems
Although more commonly known for purely Control System Integration works, Newfield Automation in conjunction with their partners can and do provide complete mechanical handling solutions incorporating the design, manufacture and supply of turnkey Automated Mechanical Handling Solutions.
Successful systems supplied have ranged from Warehouse handling upgrades and Robot Cells to Automated Production and Material Handling machinery either working in isolation or by the inter-linking of various OEM equipment, via the design and supply of automated inter-machine handling equipment to form process lines.
As per Control Systems project works, Newfield Automation and its partners can provide mechanical handling solutions from consultancy through concept design to detailed design, manufacture, supply, installation and commissioning of completed mechanical handling solutions.
A wide variety of customer training courses can be provided by Newfield Automation’s Engineers and can be held either at our Congleton offices or on the Customer's site.
Training Courses can be provided and tailored for either Engineering or Operational staff and full training notes are supplied for future reference.
